Key features
Built-in speakers at every seat — Dual hi-fi speakers in each delegate unit. In a room of moderate size, this replaces ceiling speakers and an amplifier, because the sound arrives at each participant from directly in front of them rather than from overhead.
Identical to the chairman unit except for priority — Same capsule, same frequency response, same construction. The only functional difference is that the C-869C can mute the room, and this cannot — which is why you order one chairman unit and the rest as delegates.
Earphone socket at every seat — Two 3.5 mm stereo sockets per unit, usable for earphone listening or auxiliary input. Useful for hearing assistance without a separate system.
Host powered over the same cable — DC 24V from the controller down the 8P shielded cable. No local power, no batteries, no charging routine — the practical advantage of a wired system.

Three factors determine the specification: seat count, room acoustics, and whether proceedings are recorded.
Seat count — one unit per seat plus one chairman unit. Count fixed positions, not typical attendance.
Room acoustics — a hard-surfaced room with glass and tile will echo regardless of microphone quality. Treatment does more for intelligibility per taka than any equipment upgrade.
Recording — if minutes may be challenged or transcribed, specify a controller with built-in recording and the higher-grade capsule. Retrofitting recording afterwards costs considerably more.
