What the UH-505B is

The C-YARK UH-505B is an active UHF antenna distribution system with a directional antenna and amplifier, supplied in Bangladesh by DigiMark Solution as an authorized C-YARK Distributor.

Key features

• It solves the problem wireless conference systems actually have: range — A wireless conference host has a limited RF footprint. In a long chamber, a room with a gallery, or a hall with structural columns, the units at the far end drop out intermittently — and intermittent dropout is far harder to diagnose than total failure. An active directional antenna moved to the right position fixes it.
• Selectable 3 dB or 10 dB gain compensates for cable loss — Long coaxial runs lose signal. Rather than a fixed amplifier that can overload a short run, the gain is switchable with LED indication of which setting is active. Set it wrong, and you introduce noise; this makes the setting visible.
• One distributor serves five receivers — Ten antenna ports, two per receiver for diversity reception. Plus two BNC cascade ports so a second distribution system shares the same antenna pair — which is how a large venue covers more receivers without a second antenna position.
• Powers the receivers too — Four 12V/1A outputs run up to four devices from the same unit, and the amplifier itself is powered down the coaxial cable. That removes several power adapters from the rack.
• Three mounting methods, weather-resistant — Microphone stand, wall with a swivel bracket, or ceiling suspension — and a weather-resistant design that allows a covered outdoor position where the RF path is better.

Any wireless conference deployment in a large, long, or structurally obstructed room, and multi-receiver installations.

Sizing a conference system

Three numbers decide the specification: seat count, room acoustics, and whether proceedings are recorded.

• Seat count — one unit per seat plus one chairman unit. Count fixed positions, not typical attendance.
• Room acoustics — a hard-surfaced room with glass and tile will echo regardless of microphone quality. Treatment does more for intelligibility per taka than any equipment upgrade.
• Recording — if minutes may be challenged or transcribed, specify a controller with built-in recording and the higher-grade capsule. Retrofitting recording afterwards costs considerably more.
