What the TS1200 Pro is: A Dual-Lane Tripod Turnstile for High-Traffic Entrances

A tripod turnstile is the cheapest way to make an entrance single-file. The three rotating arms admit one person per rotation and nothing else, and the mechanism is simple enough to run for years with almost no attention.

It is also the most visible. In a factory or training centre, that is fine. In a bank head office lobby, it reads as industrial, and a flap barrier is usually the better answer.

• Three-arm mechanism, 30 per minute with cards — ZKTeco publishes 30 passages per minute with RFID and 25 with fingerprint. Those are the numbers to size lane count against — not headcount divided by a working day.
• The TS1000 Pro publishes an MCBF figure; most turnstiles do not — One million cycles, stated by ZKTeco. If a tender asks for a documented mechanical lifespan, this is the model in the range that can answer it.
• Arm drops on power loss — Correct life-safety behaviour — the lane opens so people can leave. The consequence is that load-shedding leaves your entrance uncontrolled, which is why the UPS in the Solution Kit is not optional in Bangladesh.
• SUS304 throughout the casing, lid, and arms — Not a painted finish. In Dhaka humidity and anywhere near the coast, painted steel blisters within a season, and the arms are the first thing a client notices.

Sizing the entrance

1. Count peak-hour arrivals. Not daily headcount. A factory of 3,000 arrives across twenty minutes.
2. Check the credential, not just the lane. The reader is almost always the bottleneck.
3. Include one wide lane. Wheelchairs, trolleys, and beds do not pass a standard aperture.
