801 METAL HOUSING

This CCTV enclosure with infrared is similar to the Outdoor CCTV camera housing but also has the added infrared board for providing night vision to the box camera you place inside. You can expect up to 80ft of night vision in complete darkness. The enclosure requires 12V DC power for powering the built-in infrared LEDs, and internal fan. The internal fan helps circulate and vent out the air in hot weather to ensure camera operation at temperatures as high as 120°F. There is a pass-through 12V connection to pass the power to the box camera as well.

We recommend using any of our IR sensitive Box cameras that accept 12V DC power. Please note that most box cameras are not infrared-sensitive, which means they will not be able to see in darkness even when used with this enclosure. It is commonly assumed that cameras with the Day & Night feature will pick up infrared light, however, it is incorrect to assume so.
