The ZKTeco SBTL5000 is a single-lane swing barrier turnstile that locks its gate by default and only swings open once a connected RFID or fingerprint reader confirms a valid credential. Built from stainless steel with a tempered-glass barrier, it targets entrances that need a secure but visually open passage rather than a compact flap or tripod lane.
Key features
The only lane that passes a wheelchair or a trolley — Wide-lane models exist precisely for this. If the building has a disability access obligation, a bank of fast flap lanes does not discharge it.
Barriers swing open automatically in an emergency — No manual release, no key, no guard intervention. The corollary is that the entrance stands open through a power cut.
LCD status display on the unit — Current running state visible at the pedestal, which matters on a lane that guards and cleaners interact with daily.
30 per minute with RFID — Slower than a flap barrier by design — the wider aperture takes longer to clear. Size accordingly rather than assuming parity.
