The ZKTeco F22 is an ultra-thin fingerprint access control & time attendance terminal with wi-fi built for the doors that make up the bulk of any real installation — office entrances, departmental doors, and factory administration blocks where you need reliable verification, an accurate attendance record, and nothing exotic.
It verifies by fingerprint, RFID card (optional), and password; stores 3,000 fingerprint templates and 100,000 transaction records; and is managed through ZKAccess 3.5, ZKTime.Net, and ZKBio CVSecurity.

How it works on your door
The F22 operates in two ways. Standalone: users are enrolled on the device, and it drives the door lock directly through its relay output — no PC and no network. Networked: connected over the interfaces above, users, access rules, and attendance data sync centrally so multiple doors and branches are managed from one place.
With Wiegand output, it can also serve purely as a reader feeding an existing access control panel — useful when extending a system already built around a central controller. Wiegand input lets two units pair as master and slave so staff verify on both entry and exit, which is what makes anti-passback and accurate attendance actually work.

What else you need for a complete door
The terminal alone does not make a working access-controlled door. Budget for an EM lock sized to the door (280 kg for most, 500 kg for glass or main entrances), the correct ZL or U bracket, a regulated power supply with battery backup, an exit button on the secure side, and cabling. If you only need attendance and not door control, all of that can be skipped — which reduces the total cost substantially.
