- NEXA Sign scheduling is included, not sold separately — Playlists, dayparting, multi-zone layouts, remote publishing and proof-of-play reporting. Most signage vendors charge a monthly fee per screen for exactly this, then the fee lapses and the screens freeze on whatever played last.
- NEXA Cloud fleet control — Remote power, source and volume control, OTA firmware and fault alerts. Power scheduling alone usually pays for itself — signage left running overnight across twenty branches is a measurable electricity line.
- 4K at every size in the range — Signage is often viewed from two metres, not ten. At that distance 4K against 1080p is visible, particularly on text-heavy content like menu boards and price lists.
- Portrait or landscape without a different model — Software-selectable. One SKU covers a portrait wayfinding panel and a landscape menu board, which simplifies both stock and spares.
- Touch where it earns its place — The tier 5 models add touch. The tier 3 deliberately does not, because a screen mounted above head height will never be touched and paying for touch on it is waste.
- Commercial panel, not a repurposed television — Signage runs 12 to 18 hours a day, every day. A consumer television used for signage typically fails within two years and voids its own warranty in the process — most consumer warranties exclude commercial use explicitly.
Sizing the room
Signage sizing is simpler than people expect, and content planning is harder.
- Viewing distance. Most signage is read from 2–4 m, which is why 4K matters more here than on a boardroom screen.
- Orientation. Wayfinding and posters want portrait; menu boards and dashboards want landscape. The bracket differs.
- Who owns the content. This is the one that decides whether the project succeeds.
