Introduction
A boom barrier is the first thing a driver meets at your gate, and the thing that decides whether the entrance moves or queues. The Nexakey NEXA GATE range is built around a DC 24 V brushless drive and an 8,000,000-cycle mechanism, because a barrier on a busy Bangladeshi gate cycles far more often than a specification sheet assumes. Arms are available as telescopic, fence, and folding types so the barrier suits the lane rather than the lane being worked around the barrier.
Key features
- 4 m aluminium fence arm blocks under-boom passage
- DC 24 V brushless motor, 4–6 s travel
- 8,000,000-cycle lifecycle, IP54
- 110–240 V wide-range input
Why choose the NX-BR540-G
- An 8,000,000-cycle mechanism, sized for gates that cycle far more than a datasheet assumes
- Wide-range 110–240 V input on the standard platform, which tolerates unstable supply
- Arm options for every lane condition — telescopic, fence and folding
- Dry contact as standard, so it integrates with almost any reader or controller
- Optional UPS backup, so the gate keeps working through load-shedding
- IP54 and a −20 °C to +70 °C range, which covers monsoon and dry-season heat
How it works
A trigger opens the barrier — a remote, a card or UHF reader, an ANPR camera, a push button at the guard post, or a signal from parking software. The controller drives a DC 24 V brushless motor through a helical gearbox, and the arm rises. Detection in the lane — a photocell, a radar, or a ground loop — holds the arm up while a vehicle is underneath, then the barrier closes on a timer or on a second signal. If power is lost, the arm can be released by key; with the optional UPS, it keeps cycling normally.
Where it is used
- Apartment and gated community gates: Resident entry with remotes or UHF stickers, and a guard override at the gate house.
- Corporate and office car parks: Staff and visitor lanes, usually tied into the access control system already on the building.
- Factories, RMG units and EPZ gates: Truck and staff vehicle control, where a fence arm also stops people walking through.
- Hospitals and clinics: Ambulance priority lanes and paid visitor parking.
- Shopping malls and commercial basements: High-volume entry and exit lanes, usually with a ticket or QR terminal alongside.
- Hotels and resorts: Guest and staff separation, with the barrier linked to the front desk.
- Government and defence installations
- Controlled vehicle entry, often with a second layer such as UVSS or a road blocker.
Price & availability in Bangladesh
Supplied in Bangladesh by DigiMark Solution as an Indent Order item — brought in against a confirmed order, so lead time and exact configuration are confirmed with your quotation. Pricing depends on quantity, configuration, and whether you buy as a reseller or for your own site, so we issue it directly rather than publish it.
Buy genuine from DigiMark Solution
Authorized supply, not grey-market import: DigiMark Solution supplies the Nexakey range as the brand owner for Bangladesh. You get genuine firmware, the correct accessories, and a warranty that is honoured locally — not a unit brought in through an unofficial channel with no support behind it.
Warranty and service across Bangladesh: Service and spares through our branch network in Dhaka and Chattogram, with engineers who commission the equipment on site rather than shipping it and leaving you to it.
Engineers who survey before they quote: Lane widths, ceiling heights, cable routes and power arrangements decide what actually fits. We survey the site free of charge and confirm the design before anything is quoted.
Supplying this market since 2006: Twenty years supplying security and automation hardware to government, defence, NGO, corporate, hospital and factory clients in Bangladesh. Member of BCS and DCCI.
Project capability, not just boxes: Barriers, terminals, guidance and software from one supplier, integrated and commissioned as one system, with a single point of accountability when something needs attention.
Consider before buying
Load-shedding is the first question, not the last
A barrier with no battery backup sits open or shut for the whole outage, and the gate reverts to a guard lifting the arm by hand. Every NEXA GATE barrier accepts an optional UPS battery backup, and manual key release is there for the case where it is not fitted. Budget the UPS with the barrier, not after the first outage.
Match the arm to the lane, not to the price
The arm has to clear the full lane width with the barrier cabinet set back far enough that a truck mirror cannot clip it. Measure the lane at its widest point and add clearance before choosing a 4 m, 4.5 m, or 6 m arm. An arm that is fractionally short is the most expensive mistake on a gate, because it cannot be extended.
Basement and low-ceiling entrances need a folding arm
A straight arm needs the full arm length in vertical clearance to rise. In a Dhaka basement ramp or under a projecting slab, it simply cannot. A folding arm articulates at 90°, so it clears the ceiling and still spans the lane.
Fence arms exist because people duck under booms
On factory, RMG, and gated-community gates, a plain boom stops cars and nothing else — pedestrians and motorbikes pass underneath all day. A fence (grille) arm closes that gap physically, which is why it is the standard specification for industrial gates here.
Dust, monsoon, and heat are the real environment
IP54, an operating range of −20 °C to +70 °C, and 20–95% non-condensing humidity cover Bangladeshi conditions comfortably. What still matters is siting the cabinet where run-off does not pool around the base, and keeping the photocell lenses clean during the dry-season dust.
