The ZKTeco F35 is an access control terminal built for the door that sits outside. IP65 rated with an aluminium alloy frame, it uses an in-glass fingerprint sensor — the sensor reads through a flat glass surface with no protruding button, so there is nothing to snap off and nowhere for dust and water to collect. That single design choice is why this terminal survives at a gate where conventional readers fail within a season.
It also carries a 2 MP camera, microphone, and speakers, providing one-way video intercom to an indoor monitor over SIP, plus ONVIF support so the camera appears alongside your existing CCTV rather than in an isolated system.
It verifies using an in-glass fingerprint, an RFID card (multiple technologies), and a password, and is managed through ZKBioTime and ZKBio CVSecurity. Why in-glass fingerprint matters outdoors
A conventional fingerprint sensor sits in a recessed housing with a raised edge. Outdoors, that edge collects dust, grit and standing water, and the exposed module can be pried out or damaged. The F35 reads through flat glass, so there is nothing to catch and nothing to break — which, combined with IP65 and an aluminium frame, is what makes it a genuine outdoor terminal rather than an indoor one with a weather claim.
SIP intercom and ONVIF, not a proprietary system
Because the intercom runs on standard SIP, it works with IP phone systems rather than locking you into a proprietary handset. And ONVIF support means the 2 MP camera integrates into your existing CCTV platform. Both choices keep the terminal inside systems you already own.
