PL10R is a smart RFID door lock designed as a DIY replacement for a traditional knob lock, letting users upgrade to keyless card access quickly and easily. It uses advanced 13.56 MHz Mifare card technology to provide secure, contactless unlocking while keeping the lock body rugged, sleek, and compact for modern residential doors. With an American standard single latch and adjustable 60 mm or 70 mm backset, it is engineered for straightforward installation and easy replacement without additional wiring.
The lock features an independent clutch motor under patent protection and an idle handle design that helps prevent forcible entry by stopping the handle from directly driving the latch when the lock is engaged. The handle, latch, and strike are fully reversible, allowing PL10R to fit doors that open in any direction, making it suitable for a wide range of door configurations. Registration data is stored safely even in case of power loss, and three user groups—Admin, Normal User, and Temporary User—allow flexible access control for homeowners, guests, or short‑term users.
For reliability and safety, PL10R offers a concealed mechanical emergency key override and external terminals to draw backup power from a 9V battery when the main batteries are low or depleted. An LED indicator and built‑in buzzer provide clear status and operation feedback, while low‑battery warnings alert users in advance so they can replace batteries on time. The lock supports a normal open mode for times when the door needs to stay unlocked, and it is easy to program and use, making it a practical, user‑friendly upgrade from a conventional knob lock.
